Vehicle Information
The Ingwe APC was produced by Sandrock-Austral, and utilise MAN transmission & axles.
Its primary role is as a general purpose mine security vehicle, including that of perimeter security & bullion transport.
The SANDF (South African National Defence Force) only operated a few Ingwe APC’s, which probably accounts for the low general awareness of the vehicle.
It is however a formidable vehicle, with a physical presence similar to that of the Casspir APC.
